What makes English the richest language ever devised is that it is a repository of words from all languages, a kind of nymphomaniacal cavern whose insatiability requires new and massive injections of words.

Listen to them – caravan, silhouette, tobacco, vendetta, poltergeist, schooner, flamenco – not an Anglo-Saxonism to be found.

Indeed, only five percent of English words come from English.

Alas. English is often sadly inadequate for a good ripe curse.
