the immediacy of your mouth, scrambles an egg between you and I in mid-air. What you so desperatley wanted to say, never came out. You were interrupted by the spatula of people, flipping the air.
The immediacy of the situation had not yet hit him. Soon they would all be here moaning and crying and begging his help. But for now, he sat in his arm chair, sipping his wine. I would like to have been able to whisper to him to savor this moment. It would be the last bit of calm he would have for many days.
I don't like the sound of the word »immediacy«.
It reminds me most of the term »fecal urgency«, a condition gained from eating too much low-fat cooking oil.
