Purple is a royal colour. Deep shades are most wonderfully rich. They almost cry out to be set off by gold trim.
The dye was once very expensive. That is why purple was not a common colour for years.

Purple is deep, sensual, warm, comfortable, expensive. It is tasteful and elegant, fun and romantic. Lavendar is popular in the springtime, while Plum is popular in the winter. Purple smells warm and oriental in nature, rich and full of body, like a good wine. It's soft on naked skin. It's a color of maturity, status and royalty.
