Curiosity

The thing about curiosity is that it must be spontaneous, voluntary....Witness this terrible story about the cat enlisted into war-time spying games (true, I heard it on Radio 4!), presumably because of its natural intelligent curiosity and the relative security of its nine lives. Kitted artificially with its spying gear (and told to spy for Britain...), the poor thing was taken out into a nearby park for a test – and immediately knocked down and killed by a taxi (loaned to the enemy, I daresay). I wonder if God has found a use for those other wasted eight lives.....
