Vidalia

I visited her parent's house that day and her father was eating a Vidalia onion sandwich; pouring copious amounts of salt on it as he ate. I mentioned that I liked Vidalias and her mother, being from Georgia, immediately corrected my pronounciation. Then her father talked about how the difference between the species of Vidalia onion and the onions that come from town of Vidalia, Georgia. Apparently some people don;t consider them true Vidalias unless they are grown on Vidalia soil.
