stars

it's unreal, i know, yes i know
to hope for a ship that will take me to the stars
i'll never leave this lonely little planet
i'll never explore
the abyss of outer space
and all its emptiness
and all its shining stars
will never welcome me
at home

and even if i succeed and find a way
to transform us into immortal beings
flying to the stars
they'll take it away from me
hide it in mountains
and we will never see
the stars and foreign intelligences on strange planets
